What's new in Singapore?
Mountainboarding is not a common sports in SG, the sports similarly refer as snowboarding on land, it is a popular sport in other region such as UK, USA , AUSTRALIA , JAPAN , FRANCE and the list goes on. The sport is easy to learn for all ages.
Common Question people always ask is, where can we mountainboard?
We can ride on all kind of terrain except soft sand and sea, typical in SG I will personally ride on local skateparks to practice my technical tricks, I will hit on a Mountain bike park to practice some dirt movements, on the normal days I will just hit the skateboarding street spots. There are many disciplines to mountainboarding do google out about it to have a better understanding.
Can we paddle on the board?
YES, there are ways to do it , foot paddling and tick tack manual lift.
Why I started Mountainboarding?
To me mountainboarding is a board sport freedom to both worlds , one moment I can be on concrete land next moment on grassy or dirt area. It is fun to learn ones you get use to it, Its hard at first but if you keep practising its as similar to riding other board sports . Health benefits purposes, leg day all day, keeps me healthy and active most days.
Does it hurt when falling?
Yeah, it does . It really hurts a lot, that's the idea of learning and practising , you will never get better each day without falling. Best advice I can give right now, learn to fall with least impact it helps .
